Puerto Rican Swimming Federation is suspended by the Central American and Caribbean Confederation of this sport for a debt of ,535

The Puerto Rican Swimming Federation (FPN) and the Central American and Caribbean Confederation of Swimming Fans (CCCAN) They are once again involved in a controversy, this time, over a debt that the national federative entity allegedly owes to the Central American organization.

According to a CCCAN resolution dated April 17, 2024, of which The new day obtained a copy, the FPN failed to pay $57,535 for their participation in the 2023 Swimming and Open Water Championships, which took place in El Salvador.

As a result of this failure, the CCCAN immediately suspended the national federation “from participating in all events” of the Confederation until the debt is paid.

The document is signed by the president of the sports organization, the Puerto Rican Felix Calderon.

This disagreement is added to the two-year suspension that the president of the FPN and member of the Executive Committee of Puerto Rico Olympic Committee (Copur)Fernando Delgado, was received by the CCCAN for alleged acts of verbal aggression by the Puerto Rican federation towards the diving judges, as well as the International technical delegate Rolando Ruiz Pedreguera and the vice president of the CCCAN, Imaday Nunez, during the celebration of the Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.
