Puerto Rico 10K Run reaches registration record with 6,250 runners and walkers

The third edition of Puerto Rico 10K Run on the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge – which will take place on May 5 starting at 6:00 am – reached a registration record with 6,250 runners and walkers, of which there are about 133 Puerto Ricans living in the United States.

The race – which is part of the initiative’s activities Get together Boricua– registered over 1,000 additional registrations compared to the last edition.

When talking about the strategies that made this increase possible, which caused registration to close two weeks before the race, Anaymir “Tuti” Munoz, of Puerto Rico Eventsexplained that the strategy was to open the registration period during the commercial event known as “Black Friday”, on November 24, 2023. Likewise, he understands that there is a fervor among people to participate in competitions like this.

“We started a little earlier, and I think that was the key to it filling up two weeks before the event. Furthermore, the people of micarrerarapr.com is telling us that there is a fairly substantial increase in runners because there are several races that have announced their sold out. In other words, the running public is increasing”Munoz articulated.
