Referee denies Rimas Sports’ request for its main agent to maintain its license

An arbitrator denied a request from the athlete representation company Sports Rhymes to receive a temporary restraining order, which would have allowed his main baseball agent, Venezuelan William Arroyo, to represent his clients while they appeal a decertification, reported this Monday ESPN.

The sports media cited a court document from the Southern District of New York.

Rimas Sports is a company founded by the musical star Bad Bunny along with his partners Noah Assad and Jonathan Miranda.

The report of ESPN adds that the decision was made by umpire Michael Gottesman on Friday and that the United States Baseball Players Association Big leagues (MLBPA) filed a motion Monday asking the court to affirm its decision.

Arroyo’s agent license was revoked on April 10 following an MLBPA investigation into improper benefits provided to players by Rimas Sports.
