Rene Perez and Jessie Reyez merge their voices in an acoustic encounter

The urban exponent, Rene Perez, known as “Resident” joined the Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez to release a live version of the song “El Encuentro”.

The collaboration premiered yesterday, Thursday, after the rapper shared the video on his social networks, as part of his process to promote the songs from his recent album “Las letras ya no importan.”

The acoustic session is also accompanied by a video on YouTube and Vevo.

The collaboration between the two artists promises to capture the essence and chemistry that they both have. The audience will be able to enjoy an authentic and profound performance, where both artists will display their talent in an intimate and close format, accompanied by violin, viola and cello.

Residente’s collaboration with the singer born in Toronto, Canada but of Colombian parents, is part of the live sessions that Perez performs at this stage of his career, the first being “Bajo los ruinas” with singer Amal Murkus.

The production “Las letras ya no importan” is part of the prestigious list “The 24 Best Latin Albums of 2024 So Far: Staff Picks” by Billboard magazine.
