Robert Kennedy Jr. Claims He Has Secured a Ballot Spot in Enough States to Win the Presidency

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He said Friday that he has met the requirements to be included on the ballot in enough states to win the presidency as an independent candidate, but there is an important caveat: At least 10 of those states have not certified his candidacy.

Kennedy is trying to secure a spot on the ballot in states with at least 270 Electoral College votes, the minimum needed to become president, before the June 20 deadline to participate in a CNN debate this month.

Kennedy’s campaign said it had submitted 3,300 signatures in Minnesota on Friday and listed the state among 19 states with 278 collegiate votes in which it claims to have gained ballot access. But by his campaign’s own admission, at least half of those states have not verified that his application is valid.
