Ronald Acuna Jr. moves within one home run to become the first player in the 40 home run and 60 steals club

Atlanta- Ronald Acuna Jr. hit two home runs on the night in which dolls with his image were distributed, in addition to committing his 67th steal to get one home run closer to being the first player registered in the 40-60 club, in the game that the Atlanta Braves beat the Philadelphia Phillies 9-3 on Tuesday.

Spencer Strider (18-5) established himself as the leader in wins in the majors and struck out 11 to increase his total in the Major Leagues to 270. He reached 17 career games with 10 or more strikeouts — 11 this season.

The Braves thus ended a four-game losing streak.

Acuna hit a home run on the first pitch of the game, made by Dominican Cristopher Sanchez (2-5), and hit another home run without men on the bases, against fellow Dominican Yunior Marte in the sixth inning.

The Venezuelan holds a Braves record, with 33 home runs in the first at-bat of a game — including seven this season and three on the first pitch. Of his 205 hits this season, 51 have come in the first inning.

No player has ever had 40 home runs and 60 steals in the same season, much less 70 steals. Acuna also drove in his 100th run of the campaign.

For the Phillies, Dominican Johan Rojas was 1 for 3 with one run scored.

For the Braves, the Venezuelans Acuna 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Orlando Arcia 0-for-3 with an RBI. Dominican Marcell Ozuna was 3-for-4 with one run scored and three RBIs. Puerto Rican Eddie Rosario 2-0.
