Sagrado Corazon launches a program to promote university studies among adults with work and family commitments

Beyond young people who have just finished high school, a new undergraduate studies program from the Sacred Heart University (USC) aims to attract adults who have interrupted their academic careers or want a new professional direction to its classrooms.

This is an effort to address the needs of a sector of the population that is typically not in the sights of higher education institutions, acknowledged the dean of the Ferre Rangel School of Communication in Sagrado, Nadesha Karina Gonzalez Nieves.

“Observing the need for students who already have work and family commitments, who want to finish or start their high school program, we created this new offer, which is titled ‘A tu Tiempo’. It is aimed at people aged 21 or over, in flexible mode. They are hybrid modalities, with videoconferences, virtual hybrids and also completely online. This means that they meet in person here, in Sagrado, once a week, or they meet once or twice virtually,” explained the dean, highlighting that Classes will be offered at night, starting at 5:30 p.m.
