The Puerto Rican fighter Sebastian Rivera On Tuesday, he won the silver medal in the 65 kilogram category of the World Championship of this sport, which is held in Belgrade, Serbia.

Rivera is the third Puerto Rican to get on the podium in a World Wrestling Championship, following in the footsteps of Franklin Gomez (silver in 2011) and Mabel Fonseca (bronze in 2002).
25 years old, born and raised in New Jersey, Rivera had earned his place in the final on Monday after beating Vazgen Tevanyan, from Armenia, by a score of 10-9. That victory also gave a classification to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In the summer, Rivera had won a silver medal in the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023.
