Skater Vianez Morales comes eighth in the Street final at the Santiago Pan American Games

Santiago, Chile – The Puerto Rican skater Vianez Morales finished on Saturday in eighth position in the final of the modality streetwhich debuted in the 2023 Pan American Games and saw a dominance of Brazil’s competitors.

Puerto Rico has another representative in this event with the Olympic Manny Santiagowho will compete in the men’s final starting at 3:30 pm, Puerto Rico time.

Morales closed with a cumulative score of 102.36. The gold medalist was the Brazilian Rayssa Leal with 236.98 points. He was followed by his compatriot Pamela Leite with 211.34. The bronze went to the American Geneviene Heyn with 176.35.

Morales received a score of 38.36 points in his second run of the first section of the competition, which was followed by the tricks section. In that last part, Morales’ best two scores were 32.11 and 31.89 on his first and fourth trick.

The skaters from Brazil distanced themselves from the rest of the six competitors with their execution. They performed tricks of higher difficulty than any other competitor in the park. Winner Leal, 15, performed tricks that received scores of 86 points.
