Swimmers Yeziel Morales and Kristen Romano join the Puerto Rican delegation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Puerto Rico added two additional athletes to the delegation that will present to the Paris 2024 Olympic Gamesafter the classification of swimmers Yeziel Morales and Kristen Romano was confirmed on Monday.

The Puerto Rican Federation of Aquatic Sports (FPDA) confirmed, through a press release, that Morales achieved his place in the 200-meter backstroke while Romano will swim in the 200-meter medley.

Both athletes will have their first experience in the Olympic Games.

Morales achieved the required B mark in the 200-meter backstroke on June 21 in a competition in Canada, in which he stopped the clock at 1:57.97, which was also a new national mark. For his part, Romano obtained his classification for universality. This space is awarded by World Aquatics to one athlete per branch among countries that do not have a swimmer with a minimum required mark.
