The Astros record their worst record since 2016 with a losing mark of 7-17

Chicago- Mike Tauchman hit his first two homers of the season and the Chicago Cubs took a five-run lead in the first inning en route to beating the Houston Astros 7-2 on Tuesday.

Cody Bellinger hit a two-run homer in the first inning against JP France (0-3) and Tauchman added a three-run homer.

The Astros were thus condemned to fall 10 games below .500. It is its worst mark since 2016.

Tauchmann added a solo home run in the eighth inning off Seth Martinez and tied the best stat of his career with four RBIs.

Bellinger left after the fifth act due to a bruise on his right side.

Houston has lost three games in a row and six of the last seven. With a record of 7-17, the last-place Astros are in their worst situation since 2016, when they languished at 18-28.
