The “Bayamon is art” event seeks to provide entertainment for the whole family

In order to promote art in Bayamon, the municipality will celebrate this coming Saturday, September 16, starting at 1:00 pm, the “Bayamon is Art” event, which will take place in the facilities of the Parque de los Children in Bayamon.

The activity that arises at the initiative of the mayor Ramon Luis Rivera and the first lady, Waleska Colon, will offer an opportunity to Bayamo-based families to enjoy a varied free outdoor artistic program. Artisans and visual artists, located around the entire park, will be teaching demonstration workshops on crafts, as well as different art manifestations. Also the renowned muralists Jean Oyola, Gabriel Abast and Smite Art will be painting live.

“In the municipal administration of Bayamon we recognize the unifying and transformative power of art and events like this promote recreation, fun and creativity for the entire family. We are excited that both children and adults experience art surrounded by nature and the beauty that our Central Park offers,” said the mayor.

In addition, Circus and Theater presentations by students and teachers of the School of Fine Arts are added to the entertainment offer, as well as the participation of the Municipal Band, the Cepeda Brothers, the singer Brigitte La Pelua and the grand closing with the band Al Garete.
