The Buzzer Beater school soccer tournament will kick off with its second National Soccer Cup

The Buzzer Beater platform will begin this Thursday the second edition of the National Soccer Cup, a tournament in which the best Puerto Rican school soccer teams will seek to be crowned monarchs of the competition.

The event, which will feature 71 elevens in the men’s branch and 35 in the women’s, will start this Thursday with 17 matches in the senior men’s branch at the Salinas Olympic Hostel.. For its part, the women’s action will begin on Saturday with three duels.

“My expectations for the tournament are to provide a good show for young people and for them to have that exposure and recognition at the national level,” said the president and founder of Buzzer Beater, Bryan Eloy Garcia.

“We are going to let all of Puerto Rico know that good soccer is being played and that greater steps are being taken thanks to the efforts of the (Puerto Rican) Federation and all the components that work in soccer,” added Garcia, who said that the matches are single elimination.
