The Cangrejeras extend their advantage over the Valencianas in the semifinals of the Superior Women’s Volleyball

The Santurce crab shops took a 2-0 lead over the Valencian Juncos after defeating them in the minimum number of sets in the second match of the semi-final series A of the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF).

With the victory at the Rafael G. Amalbert Coliseum, the Crustaceans extended their winning streak to 12, including the regular season.

The scores of the crab victory were 25-16, 25-17, 25-23.

The Mexican Andrea Rangel and the American Mckenzie Adams were the best for the visitors with 12 each, followed by the Puerto Rican Neira Ortiz and the Czech Helena Havelkova with 11.

In the defeat, Sh’Diamond Holly and Keishlyann Sanchez led the locals with eight points each.

The leader of Santurce, Jamille Torreshighlighted the maturity and collective contribution of his group.

“This group showed a lot of character all season. Coming here and winning the way he did. I knew that they (Juncos) were going to show resistance, I expected that push, but our group knew how to respond,” Torres told El Nuevo Dia after the victory.
