The exhibition “Mycorrhizas of the Sacred” explores the link between women and their ancestor

A series of works of art that explore the relationship between women and their ancestors frame the individual exhibition “Mycorrhizas de lo Sagrado”, by the Puerto Rican plastic artist Angelica Rivera Reyeswho used natural and symbolic elements to evoke a deep spiritual connection.

Although several weeks ago it opened at the i AM art gallery, located in the Colon Gerena Building #1155 Avenida Ponce de Leon, It will be available until June 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Even this coming Saturday, June 15, the artist of this work will give a tour at 2:00 pm

The captivating exhibition showcases more than 20 works of art spanning diverse media, including paintings, woodcut prints, ceramics, drawings and mixed media, offering visitors a thoughtful and visual experience.

“’Mycorrhizae of the Sacred’ stands as a powerful metaphor that explores the symbiotic relationships between women and their ancestors over time. “Inspired by Paleolithic goddesses and the connection to ancestral lineage, the exhibition invites viewers to immerse themselves in the vital and spiritual connection that unites across generations and borders,” commented Rivera Reyes, through written statements, who works with the media of painting, drawing, relief engraving and ceramics.
