Washington – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) indicated this Wednesday that after the war unleashed on October 7 between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, it has noted an increase in threats against Jewish, Muslim and Arab communities and institutions in USA.
“We take all potential threats seriously and are working closely with our law enforcement partners to determine their credibility, share information and undertake the appropriate investigation.”the FBI said on X (formerly Twitter).
The agency encouraged the population to immediately report anything they consider suspicious and noted that its agents are also in contact with religious and private sector organizations, among others.
“To keep all of our communities safe, we are talking to leaders of all faiths, including Jews and Muslims, sharing information and asking them to let us know if they see anything concerning.”said the FBI.
The organization added that its delegation in Tel Aviv is also working with its Israeli partners to identify all Americans who may have been affected in the region by the conflict.
“Confronting terrorism remains the FBI’s number one priority and we will not tolerate violence motivated by hate and extremism. We will continue to do everything in our power to protect Americans and seek justice for victims and their families.”concluded that statement.
