The final stage of the BSN is hot: Carolina wins in Arecibo in a match in which David Stockton and Brandon Goodwin clashed heads

Scottie James had 28 points with 12 rebounds and the Carolina Giants came out on top Thursday, 106-95, against the Capitanes de Arecibo at the Manuel “Petaca” Iguina Coliseum in a game in which David Stockton and Brandon Goodwin were ejected.

With 5:06 left in the fourth quarter with the Giants leading, 97-85, Goodwin committed an unsportsmanlike foul on Stockton, who fell on the court.

The imported point guard immediately got up and confronted Goodwin with what looked like a headbutt. Goodwin then hugged Stockton around the neck as officials and players tried to separate them.

Once things calmed down, both players were sent off.

Goodwin finished with 21 points and eight assists, while Stockton scored 28 points.

Carolina won its first game without the services of stars Tremont Waters and George Conditt IV, active in the National Team’s practices on the way to the Olympic Repechage.
