The Reed Mules They secured the first ticket to the national semifinal of the Double A Superior Baseball League on Sunday, by painting white 8-0 to the Bulls before more than 2 thousand fans at the Pedro Montanez Stadium, in Cayey

Juncos has eight straight wins and is the only team qualified for the penultimate stage of the tournament, with an impeccable 5-0 record in the Carnival of Champions.

The Junquenos stopped the Toritos’ 16-game winning streak. It is also Cayey’s first loss in 12 appearances in the 2024 postseason.

Right-hander Ruben Ramirez pitched 6.1 innings to win the game, allowing seven hits, three walks and four strikeouts. The rest of the way was covered by relievers Ivan Munoz and Kenny Burgos.

Ramirez has gone 15.1 innings without allowing a run in the Champions Carnival. Joseph Lopez took the loss for the Toritos.
