In a preview of what will be the official photos of the local pageant, they showed the new queen, from Casanare, posing with the crown. However, in a tender photo they added as part of the photo shoot, her two-year-old daughter Amelia appears wearing her crown.
And the 27-year-old, who is a social communicator, is also a mother, wife and defender of women. This year she was able to compete, as the new rules of the international Miss Universe organization came into force, allowing her to be the first Colombian, mother of a daughter, to compete in the local pageant.
Therefore, women who are or have been married, pregnant or have children, will be able to compete in the beauty contest, given the new rules imposed by Amy EmmerichCEO of the organization, who announced last year.
At the beginning of August, Avella Montanez, who has been married since 2020 to businessman Nassif Kamle, He stated that competing for the crown was a long-awaited dream.

One who worked closely with the new sovereign was the professional makeup artist, the Puerto Rican Adrian Ortizwho last year was selected by the beauty products brand MUBA Cosmetics to be part of the group that was in charge of preparing the candidates for the 71st edition of Miss Universe.
Ortiz published some photos on his social networks, where he expressed having had “the privilege” of being able to work with Maria Camila during the final competition.
Candidates from around 80 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the international title. Puerto Rico will be represented by the newly crowned Karla Inelisse Guilfu Acevedo.
