The Pacers beat the depleted Knicks in Game 7 and qualify for the Eastern Conference finals

NYTyrese Haliburton scored 26 points and Indiana Pacers put together one of the most sensational first halves in game seven history to claim a 130-109 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday and advance to the NBA Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 10 years.

The Pacers made 29 of their 38 shots in the first half, a shooting percentage of 76.3% that was the highest in the postseason since 1997, when the NBA began keeping detailed records of plays in every quarter. They led 70-55 at the time and pulled away each time the Knicks attempted a second-half comeback.

Sixth-ranked Indiana set an NBA playoff record by finishing 67.1% for the game and advanced to face the first-place team, the Boston Celtics, in a series that begins Tuesday. The Pacers last reached the conference finals in 2014, which they lost to Miami.
