The Pollitas seek a place in the BSNF postseason by beating the Explosivas

Las Pollitas de Isabela defeated the current champions Explosivas de Moca 65-59 this Wednesday in the National Women’s Superior Basketball (BSNF) to stay in the fight for a place in the postseason.

The Pollitas import, Aariana Moorer, was the best of the night with 31 points, 15 rebounds and four assists.

Likewise, Yaileen Quinones added 12 points and Adila Gathers added 10.

In the loss, Alexis Jennings scored 17 points and 11 boards.

With the victory, Isabela registers a record of 5-8, in sixth position in the standings.

Moca dominated the first half 37-26, however, the Pollitas closed with a 39-22 lead in the second half to seal the victory at the Dr. Juan Sanchez Acevedo Coliseum, in Moca.

Tomorrow, Thursday, the Athenians of Manati visit the Montaneras of Morovis at the Jose “Pepe” Huyke Coliseum at 8:00 pm
