The Puerto Rico Games will be dedicated to the former basketball player and current leader Jose Juan Barea

Toa Baja – The tenth edition of the Puerto Rico Games organized by the Department of Recreation and Sports (DRD) It will have a new category and 10 additional disciplines.

The competitions – in which athletes from the 78 municipalities will participate – will be from June 7 to 14.

The tournament will be dedicated to the former basketball player and current leader of the Guaynabo Mets in the National Superior Basketball (BSN), Jose Juan Barea.

“Every year we look for someone to dedicate the Games to, someone who has contributed to sports in the country, an example to follow for our young people, humble, but with a lot of heart. This year it did not take us three seconds to determine who the tenth edition will be dedicated to,” said Ray Quinones, secretary of the DRD, when introducing the former Enebeist.
