After months of waiting, disney revealed on Monday the trailer for the film “Mufasa: The Lion King”, a production directed by Barry Jenkins which promises to be a fascinating mix of music and narrative. The film, which serves to tell the story of Mufasa and gives continuity to the successful 2019 version of “The Lion King”, directed by Jon Favreau, has generated great expectations since its announcement.

The lyrics of the songs in this feature film will be written by the playwright of Puerto Rican origin, Lin-Manuel Mirandawho has been working on this production for the past few months.

The trailer also revealed an exciting detail: the film debut of Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of Jay-Z and the singer Beyonce, who will voice Kiara, the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala. In fact, Beyonce Knowles-Carter will reprise her role as Nala, adding a touch of familiarity to this new installment.

Set for release on December 20, “Mufasa: The Lion King” will explore the story of the legendary Mufasa, from his childhood as an orphan to his rise as ruler. As seen in the trailer, the film promises a plot rich in adventure and emotion, where you can see Mufasa at different moments in his life, including his encounter with a young lion named Taka, among other details.
