The pattern of high temperatures in Puerto Rico is expected to continue on Tuesday, especially in the coastal area of ​​the archipelago, with temperatures at 93 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) and heat indices expected to exceed 108°F.

On Monday, temperatures tied the record of 92°F set in 1999, while today the record, set in 2005, is 95°F. However, and although the forecast for Tuesday is 93°F, at 6:00 am, the thermometer at the National Meteorological Service (SNM), in San Juan, read 82°F.

“The wind is going to continue from the east-southeast, that means that the air mass in San Juan and in the north of the island should feel warmer, as well as in the coastal areas of the south and west,” explained Carlos Anselmi. , SNM meteorologist.
