They find cause for arrest against the subject who allegedly threatened to kill the tennis player Adriana Diaz

Judge Melissa Santiago Ramirez, of the Utuado Court, found cause for arrest against a man accused of threatening to kill the Olympic tennis player on at least two occasions. Adriana Diazconfirmed the Justice Department and the Police Bureau.

The prosecutor Daralis Alicea Corderofrom the Utuado Prosecutor’s Office, filed charges in absentia against Hector F. de Jesus Cancel, 67 years old, for threat (Article 177), intrusion on personal tranquility (Article 178) and disturbance of the peace (Article 241A) of the Penal Code of Puerto Rico. The hearing against De Jesus Cancel was in absentia because the man did not appear in court after being summoned by the Police on Tuesday and today, Wednesday.

Santiago Ramirez, after analyzing the evidence presented, found cause for arrest on the three charges and issued an arrest warrant against De Jesus Cancel, while setting bail at $70,000. The man was arrested by an agent from the Bayamon district at his residence located in Levittown, Toa Baja.
