They identify a man who died after being wounded by a gunshot in Bayamon

A man, identified as Nelson Yadiel Santana Santos, 26 years old, He died in the afternoon hours of Thursday after receiving gunshot wounds in Bayamon in circumstances that are still under investigation, reported the Police Bureau.

According to the Police report, a call to 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted the Uniformed Police about a person who was wounded by a gunshot near a bakery on Ramon Miranda Street in the Hato Tejas neighborhood.

Preliminarily, authorities reported that the man was found alive and that they were offering him medical assistance. However, the Uniformed Police later clarified that Santana Santos died at the scene.

At the moment, the circumstances surrounding the events are still unknown. so the investigation continues.

Agents assigned to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Bayamon, together with the Bayamon Prosecutor’s Office, are in charge of the investigation.
