The Police request help from citizens to find the whereabouts of Christian Vargas Torres, alias “Corozo”38 years old, accused of gender violence in Yauco.
In a press release, the Uniformed Police indicated that the Ponce Prosecutor’s Office filed four charges against him for violations of the Law for the Prevention and Intervention with Domestic Violence, for events that occurred in the early hours of Thursday.
The charges against Vargas Torres, who is on federal probation for drug trafficking and weapons crimes, allege that “he attacked his partner in different parts of the body and fled the scene while firing several shots.”
The case was presented in absentia by the Ponce Prosecutor’s Office before Judge Maria T. Hernandez, who determined cause for arrest and An arrest warrant was issued with bail set at $800,000.
The individual is 38 years old, is 5’6″ tall, weighs 145 pounds, has a white complexion, short black hair and brown eyes. He could have a beard. He has a tattoo with a woman’s name above his left eyebrow and another on his cheekbone on the same side.
The director of Intelligence and Arrests, attached to the Auxiliary Superintendency in Special Operations, Inspector Jose Joey Fontanez, requested the collaboration of citizens to capture Vargas Torres.
“The man is considered a dangerous and armed person,” the Police warned.
