They sue Education to stop the recruitment of 94 assistant superintendents of schools I

The senator Javier Aponte Dalmau announced this Wednesday the filing of a lawsuit for the Education deparment (DE) stop the recruitment of 94 assistant superintendents of schools I, under the allegation that the process carried out is contrary to the agency’s organic law and politically rigged.

Dalmau presented the legal appeal – an interdict – in the Court of First Instance of San Juan, representing six teachers from the public education system who participated in the recruitment and were discarded, “despite the fact that they received higher scores than those who were selected”.

The plaintiff teachers are Pablo Daniel Ortiz Feliciano, Jose Luis Jimenez, Nitza Sanchez Cartagena, Ruben Diaz Flores, Jessica Ortega Irizarry and Ramon Burgos Rosado.

“All the applicants were rejected to occupy the positions subject to said call, despite the fact that they obtained the highest score in the recruitment process for the positions of assistant superintendents. The only common element of all the plaintiffs who were rejected is that they were not supporters of the secretary (Yanira Raices Vega) or this government administration”the senator said at a press conference.
