The authorities are investigating the murder of a man who has not been identified since he was found dead yesterday in Canovanas, along with ammunition and bullet casings.
The events were reported at around 9:56 pm yesterday, on Lago Street in the San Isidro neighborhood, Canovanas.
According to the preliminary investigation by the Police, a call through the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted the Police about a person lying on the pavement in the aforementioned place.
Upon arriving at the scene, the agents found the body of a lifeless man, still unidentified, who had several gunshot wounds in different parts of the body, in circumstances that are under investigation.
At the scene, investigators seized a rifle magazine with 30 2.26 mm caliber ammunition. There they also found 16 7.62 millimeter caliber bullet casings and six .40 caliber casings, and a cell phone.
The deceased was described as having a black complexion, with multiple tattoos on different parts of his body, black hair, a mustache and a goatee.
At the time of the events, he was wearing a black shirt with an image of the horror movie character known as “Chucky,” black pants with white stripes, and red and black Jordan brand shoes.
He also had a black cap on his head, a screen on his nose and several chains on his neck. In addition, on her left wrist she had a watch and a bracelet with silver dials, she had a ring on each hand and she was wearing a waist purse and a black and blue bag.
Agent Corchado, assigned to the Homicide Division of the Carolina Criminal Investigation Corps, together with prosecutor Jose Villamarzo, took charge of the investigation.
Until yesterday, the Police had reported 328 murders so far this year, 96 less than the 424 registered on the same date in 2022.
