Trough that begins to be felt in Puerto Rico will slightly alleviate the heat pattern

The trough that is already beginning to be felt in the region of Puerto Rico will bring a slight relief in the warm temperatures that have scorched the archipelago for the past few days thanks to the cloud cover and episodes of intense rain that are expected, reported the National Weather Service (SNM).

During Monday and Tuesday, temperatures tied with previous records, the Monday with 92°F established in 1999, while Tuesday was tied with 95°F established in 2005 and heat indexes above 110°F. On Tuesday, the SNM forecast high temperatures of 93°F and heat indices of 108°F.

However the SNM meteorologist, David Sanchez, He explained that the rain brought by the deep trough would produce a drop in high temperatures.

Today there should not be temperatures as high as in recent days due to the cloud cover brought by the trough and the rain activitybut regardless, where it is not raining, it will feel hot,” said the meteorologist.
