Voters will receive up to seven ballots this primary Sunday

This Sunday, when voters affiliated with the New Progressive Party (PNP) and Popular Democratic Party (PPD) vote in the primarieswill have between four and seven ballots in their hands, an amount that will vary depending on whether the mayor’s office and the positions at Senate and the House of Representativeswhether by accumulation or district, are in dispute within the communities.

The PNP has 60 positions that are defined in the primaries, while the PPD has 38.

The first ballot that voters, both from the PNP and the PPD, will receive is the state one, since both groups have contests for the candidacy for governor. In the case of La Palma, the governor Pedro Pierluisi seeks to revalidate in Strength and the resident commissioner in Washington, Jennifer Gonzalez, challenges him. In La Pava, the representative is measured Jesus Manuel Ortiz and the senator Juan Zaragoza.
