Weak tropical wave will bring rain and thunder to Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico faces another hot and humid day on Saturday with temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) and heat indices above 100 °F for almost the entire archipelago, while the National Weather Service (SNM) in San Juan maintains an extreme heat warning in force during the peak hours of the day, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm

The extreme heat warning is for the municipalities of San Juan, Salinas, Carolina, Camuy, Lajas, Yabucoa, Guaynabo, Mayaguez, Dorado, Isabela, Aguada, Manati, Florida, Guanica, Vega Alta, Patillas, Anasco, Arecibo, Guayama, Vega Baja, Aguadilla, Rincon, Santa Isabel, San German, Penuelas, Toa Alta, Catano, Bayamon, Toa Baja, Quebradillas, Hatillo, Arroyo, Barceloneta, Trujillo Alto, Juana Diaz, Guayanilla, Yauco, Moca, Maunabo, Ponce, Hormigueros and Cabo Rojo.

However, A weak tropical wave over the island promises the development of rain again for municipalities in the interior-west, where flash floods are not ruled out in urban areas and small bodies of water, as has occurred in recent days.
