The study, which reveals the close relationship between diet in middle age and healthy aging, has been led by researchers from the Harvard University and was presented this Tuesday at ‘Nutrition 2024’, the annual meeting of the American Society of Nutrition held in Chicago.

The investigation, based on data from more than 100,000 people over 30 yearsshowed that those who followed a healthy diet from age 40 were 43% to 84% more likely to function well physically and mentally at age 70, compared to those who did not.
