With less than three months to go until the closing of the electoral registry, the number of people who have tried to reactivate or register to vote in the general elections as of November 5, remains in decline, despite efforts by government, civic and political entities to encourage participation.

When comparing the figures for June 2020 with those for the same month in 2024, the decrease among those reactivated is 20% (58,090 vs. 46,364), while, among the new registrants, it reaches 39% (86,939 vs. 52,687), according to data provided by the State Election Commission (CEE) and the electoral analyst Manuel Alvarez Rivera.
