After 15 years of absence, the Caguas Creoles they are back in the National Superior Basketball (BSN)…And how!

From the hand of the Ponce coach Wilhelmus Caanenformerly known as Grises de Humacao, lead Section B of the league with a 9-2 record, being along with the Captains of Arecibothe first two teams to reach nine victories so far in the 2024 season.

What changed? What is the magic that has them undefeated at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum?

Caanen, whose father is Dutch and whose mother is from Ponce, responds to that and more, including why he believes that the Stately City has seen a decrease in talent in the new generations, after the era of yesteryear (and his litter) led by Javier Antonio “Tonito” Colon, Charlie Lanauze, Jose ‘Johnny’ Caraballo and Julian Rodriguez, among others.
