Without Markus Howard, Puerto Rico announces the 12 players for the Olympic Repechage

The Puerto Rico Basketball Federation announced on Tuesday afternoon the list of the 12 players who will seek the Olympic pass in the Repechage that will be played from July 2 to 7 at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.

The list includes nine basket players who saw action in the last 2023 World Cup in Manila, Philippines.

For this call, the faces of the New Orleans Pelicans point guard come together, Jose Alvarado; plus forward Davon Reed and guard Gian Clavell.

Alvarado and Clavell missed the World Cup due to injuries. Reed, for his part, debuted this year with the national squad in the first qualifying window for AmeriCup 2025.

The team is completed by Tremont Waters, Jordan Howard, Stephen Thompson, Isaiah Pineiro, Aleem Ford, Chris Ortiz, Ysmael Romero, Arnaldo Toro and George Conditt IV.

John Holland, Justin Reyes and Ethan Thompson were left out of the World Cup team.
