Woman trying to get ,000 loan through Facebook scammed

A 42-year-old woman reported Monday being victim of a scam through the social network Facebookreported the Police Bureau (NPPR).

According to the preliminary report, The victim, a resident of the Saint Just neighborhood of Trujillo Alto, paid $510 through the ATH Movil application to a page identified as “Boricuas, loans without verification” in the hope of obtaining a loan for $5,000.

The complainant alleged that last Friday, July 5 at 3:41 p.m. she followed the instructions provided on the page and sent a payment of $210 through the application as a requirement to request the fatulo loan.

Later, on Sunday, July 7th at 9:50 in the morning, made another payment, this time for $300through the application to cover the alleged fees of a lawyer who was to finalize the process for the provision of the money.
