The Puerto Rican urban singer Yandel He releases his album, “ELYTE”, in which he evolves on a creative level but maintaining the essence of his sound, with collaborations from veteran artists of the genre and from the new generation.
”ELYTE is my 11th album as a solo artist. “I love challenges and one of the biggest challenges of this new production was adapting my ideas on a creative level to what the public is currently listening to,” Yandel said in a statement.
”That factor has helped me a lot to expand my artistic capacity and has given me the opportunity to continue evolving in my genre and my music,” he added. For ‘ELYTE’, Yandel has the support of old school peers like Tego Calderon and Maldy, but also new wave urban artists, including Myke Towers and Jay Wheeler.
”I worked carefully on this album, seeking to maintain the essence of my sound and collaborating with great colleagues who, when I knocked on their doors, did not think twice and supported me in this very important project,” Yandel explained.
The album debuts with a music video for “Reggaeton Malandro”, by Yandel and Tego Calderon, created entirely with artificial intelligence.
The black and white production enhances the visual aesthetics and provides a more authentic atmosphere, fusing classic with technological innovation.
Some of the standout songs on “ELYTE” are “Puno de Tito”, inspired by one of Puerto Rico’s best boxers, Felix ‘Tito’ Trinidad; “Old school”, with Farruko; and ‘”La malota”, a romantic reggaeton classic.
In addition to his solo career, the artist is known for having been part of the famous reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel, which permanently separated in 2023.
